V16 Formula 1 car from 1949

Don't know if this has been posted but this is a link to the sound a of a V16 BRM (not familiar) engine. This is a monster engine! Put on the headphones and pump up the volume but beware...it will bite you!!

Quite impressive for a 1.5 litre, supercharged engine in 1949.

It actually may be a Grand Prix car (pre Formula 1) Grand Prix racing started in 1901. F1 was formed in 1950
