After NASCAR got burned by the Shane Hmiel debacle, they're gonna be pretty stern with Fike once he's instated. I'm sure that the whiff of impropriety from Fike would likely send the wrath of NASCAR onto him, where real or not. Hopefully, Fike will fair better then Shane and actually stay clean and sober (not the easiest thing to do when it comes to heroin), then he won't have too many troubles for him.

From the article:
[quote:f825c1cdb0]Fike told The Associated Press on Tuesday he began taking prescription painkillers about six years ago because of back injuries and a broken right wrist and gradually moved up to oxycodone, commonly known under the brand name OxyContin.

While "hanging around the wrong environment," Fike said he began using heroin last December. [/quote:f825c1cdb0]

This is certainly not an excuse for what Fike did, but weren't the makers of OxyContin found guilty of covering up its addictive tendancies?

Not sure if they were found guilty, but the biggest problem is not when it's used as directed, but rather when the junkies crush up the pills and snort or inject them...

I'm glad to see that this young man is on the right path again, and I hope he can stay on the wagon! :D

Every Heroin user is never gonna be 100% Clean. Just the matter of time that he'll shoot up again.

It's very possible, especially if he stays with the same woman that he was caught with...
