Thatsracing is reporting it is a New York investment Group.
" I am told that Waltrip’s team is about to follow the trend of partnering with an investor. In this case, it’s a New York-based asset management firm call Fortress Investment Group that earlier this year broke the mold in its industry by becoming the first hedge fund to go public."

Michael had talked fairly recently about his willingness to bring on a partner so I'm not surprised that this might be part of what they announce tomorrow. Adding a partner/investor is something that will probably be a good move for MWR because it will bring in additional financial resources, and might help Michael be able to concentrate on the racing side of things and some of his other strengths if others will be more involved on the business side. Seems to me it's a good sign about the future of MWR if an outside investor believes in them enough to sign on as a partner.

While I would have liked to see Stremme stay with CGR in a 4th car, I do hope that he gets a ride next year. If MWR can keep improving their cars, then he should be able to get that car into the top 35.
