This I would like to see! Now if we can bring back Michael and Mario Andretti...

I wonder why he wants to race ALMS? True he and his sons seemed to have done an impressive job at their test but who was it against? I believe the Lola-AER B06/10 is a P1 car which means they'll be battling Audi and maybe Peugeot which is a whole new world. I'm glad Nigel is coming back to the States to race though and I'm sure many Englishmen well be interested to see how this goes.

Yeah I was there in person as a 14 year old at Road America/13 year old at Milwaukee so yes I do remember whether you mean personally or on the tube.
That was when he was younger and on very good team though. I'm afraid because his age and his inexperience in ALMS he might just make a mistake that might make him look foolish. Maybe I'm being negative but because you ruled at a test doesn't mean you're ready to take on the big guns all the sudden.

That must have been really cool to watch the Master in person. Wherever he chooses to make an appearance is going to be a treat for the fans and a boost for tv ratings, I can hardly wait. Nigel is still young and will put on a great show.

Haha..well I was very very green to open wheel racing back then and I probably couldn't tell you who Mansell was during that time even if he came up to me and said "Hi". I didn't get into CART until I was 13 and didn't fully understand until later but it was cool to see the races then - so many memories.

I saw the master win the race and clinch the title at Nazareth in 1993. My god, that man could drive and was just amazing when he was on.
I still remember every lap but the first being run under green. An hour and 15 minutes was all it lasted, but my word, it was freaking amazing.
I would love to see Nige come back and race with his sons at Petit. It would be a very special moment for him.

I didn't know that Nige had ever raced prototype sports cars, though I know that he's raced door-slammers before (including the full-contact British Touring Cars some years ago). He had amazing eyes and car control, and the worst luck sometimes. It would be neat to think of him using Petit LeMans as a training session for LeMans next year. It could never happen, but imagine him racing a Bentley prototype, with maybe Johnny Herbert and Daman Hill and David Coulthard. *sigh*
