So its the third week of the show, and we're watching a rerun on week 1 already? WTF?
Also, who is Alonzo Bodden, if you have to wikipedia someone to find out who they are, they probably dont belong on in a motoring show, because what you get is someone reading a script that just doesnt get it.
In episode 2 he makes fun of how ridiculous the Citroen 2CV (pronounced Citro - 'N' in Bodden speak) and Fiat 500 are from start to finish, but all facts he gives are pretty astounding. Then the Delorean has the worst review imaginable (because it was terrible), but he loves it!?

Great idea, terrible execution.

I'm with you. I DVR'd the first episode, watched half of it, and removed it from my prioritizer. Bodden has no clue what he's actually talking about.

The concept is there. It just needs some tweaking.

The host is awful. No personality, not even funny for a supposed comedian. He wasn't even funny on that comic show he used to do.
Poor choice of host.
Great cars profiled though.

I thought the same thing. The concept and the cars are fine.
The host is a total bore!!!!!!!!!

come on guys, you're missing the point.

HE"S POLITICALLY CORRECT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It doesn't matter whether you actually know anything about the subject or not, or even if you are funny or not. It's all about staying in the PC world and attracting attention for it. AA JMHO

I heard the guy on the Carola radio show, he was apparently a Stealth aircraft mechanic at one point, so he does know something about machines in general...but I agree he's not that knowledgeable about cars. Did I actually hear him say that the original NSX had a 2.0l engine later bumped up to 3.0l??? It was 3.0 later to 3.2, not a big deal but I caught it so who knows what other inaccuracies await. So far I'm not too impressed.

I think it is a very entertaining show and Bodden does have some funny lines. The problem is that most of the posters on this board are not old enough to appreciate the vehicles being shown and their lack of engineering and creature comforts. Anybody out there ever drive a 36 hp VW and twist the knob on the floor tunnel to get warm air to the defroster and front vents? There was no fuel gauge but there was a lever under the dash to allow fuel to flow from the emergency reserve in the bottom of the front mounted tank.

Great show, Speed Channel, keep up the good work!

You aren't my college roommate are you? Did you have to push start it half the time? Thank god it was light.

I too, think it is is great to revisit these cars, but it's just lines with nothing behind them. Barret-Jackson gives better coverage of a variety of cars, albeit only cars at their auctions.

They should have held this show until Jay Leno became available--he'd be the perfect host--funny and a REAL car guy.

Ummm. I'm old enough to remember, and have driven or rode in many of the cars. But, I think you've missed the point of most of the posters here. Good idea, sucked choice of a host, and poor script writers. I agree with them.

The show isn't that bad. Has room for improvement, and hope it improves to the high standards of my fellow posters on this board. Beats most of the rest of Speed's current prime time line up. I'd rather see Bodden try to fit into a Fiat 500 or rant against a 2CV than watch some mooks butcher some rap stars Lamborghini or a couple bozos argue about how much of a head start they need.

Read this other thread for an idea of how they can (need) to improve, like by knowing what the heck they're talking about.

My wife can't stand car shows because most the guys aren't that entertaining. I forgive them, since they are car guys, and have a lot to share and I learn something just about every time.

Watching this show makes me see things from her shoes. He isn't knowledgeable, and isn't funny. I would rather watch Carrot Top talk about cars. At least he’d might good at one of them.

He will be guesting next week (this week)?

They probably couldn't afford him though.

And when all else fails, BLAME SPEED!

“Crap programs” are anything that I don’t like.

“Because I don’t watch it” means that nobody watches it either.

Not to mention the guy is about 6'5" and doesn't fit at all in any of the old European cars. It looks like 20lb's of potatoes in a 10lb bag...lol
