I had the (mis) fortune of seeing first hand both of Hoppers crashes in qually on Fri, the second one being a monster.
He has evidently broken his ankle and cracked a vertebra. He is hoping to be back on track for Sausagering in a fortnight, which I'd be surprised if he was.

Anyway, does this open the chance of a replacement rider at Sausagering and potentially at Laguna. Probably OJ will be in the frame, but what are the chances of RLH or Chaz getting the gig at Laguna????

I'd say Chaz's chances are just okay. I think he only had just two races at Laguna so far. There are many other people with more track knowledge and it won't be a last minute effort where Kawasaki is looking for a rider not under a huge contract. Yes, it could happened seeing how he is on the Attack Kawasaki team but I think Kawasaki would benefit from an American at Laguna.

Jamie Hacking should get the laguna ride he has won their many times and has 6 straight podiums this year and been Kawasakis best rider this year and Rodger and Chaz crash to much and our injured Chaz broke a bone in his hand earlier this year and rodger has multiple injuries from his crash earlier this year. I think Kawasaki should let him test at Indy tomorow so he can get used to the bike before Laguna and today happens to be his birthday and he was born in England.

Forgot about Hacking.

Provided he doesn't do a Du Hamel, then that would be a good call.

I wouldn't forget about Hacker. Besides Spies and Mladin, he's fighting for the 3rd best rider in the paddock. If he was on Yosh Suzuki, I think it would be a 3 way fight for the Championship this year.

I think that you misunderstand.

I was merely thinking of JH for the wildcard.

I had forgotten about the WHOLE of AMA.

While I don't care where he was born or when. I think it would be great to see Hacking riding the Kawi MotoGP bike at Laguna. He has done well improving his Superbike. I'd like to see him beat Spies on the GP bikes at Laguna. But due to testing advantage I think Spies has the upper hand in terms of bike knowledge and a better bike.

Not that Hacking doesn't deserve a chance to ride but I'd like to see it go to someone that will get a chance to showcase their talents and will actually leave the AMA for a world championship.

You don't think Jaime is NOT talking to Kawasaki for WSB next year?

Testing advantage? I think you meant 'talent' or 'skill' advantage. LOL

Looks like Davies may have an edge because they can use him both at Sachsenring and Laguna.
