Laconi or Tamada might be a good choice for Germany because of track knowlege but Hacking has 10 more podiums in the last two years than laconi and Tamada on the Kawasaki SBK and has many wins at Laguna seca in supersport racing.

Hacking is too old.

Not to ride! He'd just be a fill-in either way.

Hell, Honda let DuHamel ride...

Yeah, that worked out great for everyone. If they're going to put someone on it, it should be a young rider, not one at the end of his career.

Like Troy Baylis who was 37years 7months old when he won the 2006 Motogp race at Valincia Hacking will turn 37 on monday and is riding better than any Kawasaki rider in the world this year.

I think they should let Jamie Hacking replace John Hopkins at Laguna seca and have him test at Indy next week so he could learn the bike and tires before the Laguna race. He has had alot of succes at Laguna and is the most succcesful Kawasaki rider this year and is fully fit and when possible wild cards for Kawasaki at Laguna were rumered he had mentioned he would like to ride a Motogp bike at least once.

I think that would be a great idea. Roger would be good too. But, I really believe Jamie has paid his dues and earned the opportunity for 2-3 rides with Kawi in MotoGP. He knows his ship and truly has a great attitude. Technically he would be a "brit" I guess. So JT would have some competition?

psst: I crewed for him in 99 ya know! He had the shiniest glass in AMA. LOL. kiss He has changed and is an even better rider today than he was then. Christ his only issue was an intense desire to win races and a slight anger mgmt problem when it wasn't coming together to the point that he would lean it over too far on purpose trying to go faster. Ok so maybe intelligence and wisdom wasn't on his plate at the time. But today he shows a great deal of it. He still has the fire in his belly and is fit to ride anything. He seems to actually do even better with big bikes like 1100's. Anyway... I SAY LET HIM RIDE !!! He won't disappoint.

i dunno. sure, logically looking towards the future and all hacking wouldn't be a good choice, but i'd still love to see it happen. i like the guy. hell, it's a kawi gp ride, not a repsol ride. why not?
