I waited as long as I could for others to pick before me, but today is the day of the first race and i'm going to be away today and needed to get my picks in just in case I don't make it back in time. 1 eye or whoever else, please feel free to still pick if you would like.

No ticket at the moment, but I'll go top the track and hit the scalpers up at the last minute and hopefully get in for 20 bucks. It's pretty much been my method of operation for the last ten years. I'm also at the point where I'm liking the Bromo race as much if not more than the cup race. It's really cool to be able to see the whole road course from your seat. I wish the cup race was run on the road course. The IROC race they ran there (2 years ago now I think) was a wonderful race, just too short.
Well good luck and have fun while you are there

Race 1/4 - USMTS
WATERTOWN, S.D. – People often refer to “home field” advantage when a driver gets to compete at his hometown track, but sometimes the pressure can be even greater than normal.
Such was the case for Jon Tesch Thursday night at the Casino Speedway in his hometown of Watertown, S.D.
Tesch, a three-time track champion (1998, 2000-01) at Casino Speedway, captured the O’Reilly USMTS National Tour main event two years ago at the 3/8-mile clay oval but spun out on the first lap of the Holley "A" Main last year and wound up last in front of family, friends and sponsors. Another Watertown racer, Scott Ward, won the race.
Tesch was in the spotlight again Thursday, but this time he shined brightly.
After starting ninth, Tesch chased down race-long leader Kelly Shryock on lap 33, then paced the final seven laps to send the standing-room-only Casino Speedway crowd into a frenzy with his late-race pass and narrow victory in the 4th Annual Team Electronics Summer Slam. The win was worth $2,000 to Tesch, who became a first-time father less than two months ago and turned 32 years old last week.
