How could we have left out "Well, that's racing"? It's a catch-all phrase, broadly usable for good things, bad things or anything in between.

It's the "fuhgeddaboudit" of motorsports.

I'd sy anything by Senna or "To make a small fortune in racing, you gotta start with a large fortune"

Ah yes, good 'ole AJ. I always like this comment after Foyt IV crashed:

Non-AJ classic sayings:

"In slow, out fast."

"Speed costs money. How much do you have?"

"There's no replacement for displacement" (more of a hot-rodder's saying)

another variation: "There's only one thing better than displacement: More of it."

I believe it was Prost who said something about "To win is to go the slowest fastest."
That's not exactly it, could someone please correct me?

I saw this bumper sticker on a car at the road course events I went to...awesome.

That reminded me of a sticker (not a racing phrase) on the back of a highway pickup - "If you can read this, I lost the trailer I was towing."
