Look, I get it.. some of you watch your hour of speed on Sunday and that is it. That is your exposure to the GP world. Fine. And for you, it might not seem like a big idea.

This sort of thing happens all the time, RR. The camera usually isn't there, but racing is an emotional sport and when people come off the track the adrenaline is often flowing. As far as 'hour of Speed', I pay a lot more attention than that, but primarily to the racing.

The off-track personality crap is better suited to People magazine than to discussions of racing. It's becomes similar to the NASCAR crap we see here - next show: Bass Fishing with Pedrosa. (he'd be the bait)

dude... i have walked off in a huff after an on-track incident... i have had people not talk to me for close to a year after an on-track incident... and i understand enough to see two racers with 2 different points of view of an on-track incident... nothing more...

look i get it... some of you pour over internet sites and watch every race and that is your exposure to the racing world... and for you, that may seem like a big idea...

but, some of us actually race... some of us are familiar with on-track incidents and the typical mentality when it is going on and the mentality after the fact...

geeez... I once sat up and cracked the throttle off when I saw a red flag. The guy behind me planted his front end up my arse. Wedged between the frame/swingarm and the exhaust pipe I actually had to get back on the gas to stop having intercourse all while travelin around 80 mph. I have also been bumped from the inside during a down pour on a slick track cuz the guy was just plain faster through the corner and would have binned it if he slowed down or touched the brakes. All taken with a grain of salt. If your really a "racer" LBJ maybe you should learn to get your emotions under control a little better. Might achieve some greater success all in all. Having said that, I share your sentiments!

i know you are, but, what i am??

Ok, this is going around in circles and I don't want to keep beating the same drum.

Yes, I understand this stuff happens all the time in racing... at all levels. And yes, I know that some of you race and have see it before.

But how many of you have honestly tried to make a career out of racing? How many of you grew up deciding to forgo school in order to try and make a career as a GP racer?

At then end of the day everyone doesn't just go on... or go to work on monday. Guys like Danni make millions while a guy like Perugini ends up.... well not.


Look, it isn't a big deal... just some proof of why a lot of people don't like Dani. So if you weren't sure why people think he is an a$$, there is some (but not all) evidence for you. Nothing more.

The are probably reasons to dislike them all at some point, RR. Throw people under scrutiny long enough, and especially if they are racing against riders who already have fans and someone (or many) are bound to dislike him.

Like I've said, Biaggi had fans too but did things worse than that. He had few fans in the paddock.

I agree... what kind of personality does one have to piss at riders just because they are a fan of other riders.. I mean I didn't like Dani when he dominated 250, nor did I fancy Lorenzo too much neither nor do I like Mat and Ben too much, but that doesn't mean I say bad things about the riders.. But I found myself rooting for Dani and Jorge now... I started rooting for Jorge when he was in the 125, Hector when he was leading from Dani in the 250.. and even Casey at the OZ race... I will definately root for Ben if he secures a GP ride.
