Call me "Old School", but I remember when they used to "fix" cars that handled like that.

I don’t mean to upset everybody, it’s just everything I say does.

This thread is another example that people will complain about everything. Whats next: hey the cars are moving tooo fast, Nascar needs to ban goin fast!....

They did ban them from going fast. Remember the Restrictor plate? Hell, if they can 220mph in Indycar, they should in NASCAR, too. They fly up into the fence all the time

Except an IndyCar is only 1600lbs, made of components that are designed to break up during a crash, and carry ethanol fuel.

Stock cars weight 3000+lbs, made of sheet metal and carry petroleum fuel.

When IndyCar hit the fence, the fence does more damage than it takes. When a stocks car hits a fence, the fence is lucky to still be standing.

I wonder if you get hit by a toyota prius at 45 miles per hour would it hurt more or less than getting hit by a semitruck at 45 miles per hour. You add more weight the force is being implied also rodan said they are designed to break apart munch more than stock cars are. Yes they do go in the fence all the time but i am sure Kenny Brack and Ryan Briscoe would tell you it isn't a good thing.

Some insurance companies would "total" cars that were that bent

Wait a minute. Just a few months ago, this board was lit up with complaints about how the teams couldn't work on the cars, and how bad the cars raced. Everyone said NASCAR should do something to fix it! Now, the teams "worked" the cars, and they race better, but NASCAR should do something because they look funny?

Yes.

Its all about how the car looks, after all.

Careful, GGB! That cracking sound you hear is the thin ice you're on after your frequent condemnation of how the "twisted sister" car looked.

Anything I've ever said about the aero-monstrosity's looks was in response to people griping about the way the COT looks.

I've also said repeatedly that I didn't care if the cars looked like something my kids built out of their Legos as long as it raced well.

The COT has the races well part down for the plate tracks, the shorter tracks, and the road courses. Racing well on the mile-an-a-half will come in time.
