Here it is, from his early days. I was looking for something else and stumbled on this gem.
In the video, we have a young Dani already showing his arrogance and sense of entitlement. He is clearly in the wrong in this situation, yet he decides to try and blame the other guy instead. Dani is a future star you see, and for a lowely scrub like Perugini (who only won the opening race that year) to even go near him on the track is forbidden.
Notice his daddy Puig comming to help him, even though his baby boy is in the wrong. Pathetic.
In the exchange, Perugini says (more or less) "I was inside, and you closed in on me"...
I don't understand Spanish, but the little rat's response was basically, "NO" and a hand signal making it look like Perugini T-boned him. And the jerk Puig is looking on the whole time.
exactly my thoughts LGB ............ from what i seen there wasnt anyones fault . And what was Puig supposed to do ?? he was just there like 20 other guys , Dani doesn't even look angry . Pedrosa didn't see him coming ( but the other guy saw it happen ) so it was only natural for him to ask some explanations
Next one RR
Um, in case you guys didn't notice... this is a motorcycle racing forum... and Dani races motorcycle... and he is one of the contenders for the title this year.
And just an incident Dosed? I think not. Dani got knocked off line by someone else. He then proceedes to blatantly cut in as Perugini is riding through on the normal racing line. I guess Perugini didn't get the "Yield to the Wee God Dani" memo before the race, cause he just rode normally. Dani rode right into the side of him, and he wants to blame Perugini? That is crazy.
And, again, incase you didn't notice... Dani was very upset in the video, admonishing and blaming Perugini (with Piugs) backing. He was totally in the wrong, not just on track, but in the way he handled it.
He was acting like a little bully with his pimp daddy watching his back.
Yeah, but you have to admit the little dude is fast - that's what really matters! Pedrosa might be a prima donna but he has a way to go to catch Biaggi!
RR, the melodrama is too much... your retelling of the video sounds suspiciously like the way a 13 year old girl might embellish the retelling of her mother saying she could not go to the mall...
Put on your birra goggles and you'll be able to see it the way RR does. He reminds me of those "Ask a ..." columns at The Onion, where questions are replied to with tedious non-sequiturs.
Ask an Italian Jingoist
Q: My boyfriend dumped me for my best friend. What should I do?
A: Marco Melandri is twice the rider Toseland will ever be, and Pedrosa isn't fit to clean Rossi's boots with his tongue.
Q: A co-worker is having an affair with an intern. Should I tell our supervisor?
A: Doviozioso has more talent in his ingrown toenail than Hayden has in his whole body, and Biaggi was fired because he spoke his mind to his Japanese overlords.
you can criticize Pedrosa as long as you want ( he will still take the title) just watch your words .....and with all the **** your spreading on youtube too this topic should be called "STILL NEED A REASON TO HATE ROBERTO ROLFO?"
RR.. I can find plenty of reasons to hate Dani on my own thank-you. However... I also recall Roberto Rolfo taking out Dani once in a pathetic effort to demonstrate he was championship material.... Question? Need another reason to hate Roberto Rolfo?
Shocking , a confrontation in a 1 2 5 race!!! Ok as the 125 nut on this board, the video is one of the tamer ones. Can't remember the riders but back in the late 80's 2 125 riders came to blows..........on the main straight............while riding the race. Couple of Italians had boxed in a Spainard who feeling it was intentional slugged one of the Italians who threw one back.
So first it's evil Dani Robot and then he shows some passion and it's evil uncontrolled Pedrosa? The incident was a typical 125 melee...........packs of guys furiously jockeying for a spot and then two of them coming together one falling and then a confrontation..................racing incident pure and simple.
