I mean by all accounts it's a good racetrack, but when so much focus is placed on the Sprint All-Star race, and the 600; Let's be realitistic, the track is not condusive to great side-by-side racing. What is they went to progressive banking where things might be a little moe racier.I mean Humpy and Bruton have never held back in terms of doing the right thing for the fans, the sport. And If I recall, the configurations at Charlotte, Texas, Atlanta, where the product of having the whole front-strech hug the entire grandstand, and not exactly a configuration that was concieved to produce great racing.

The track was recently repaved. It needs time, wear, and softer tires.

I thought it was best before levigation and repaving, I liked seeing the suspension travel and sparks and the racing was better, bottom line is 1.5 mile tracks will never be as racy as the short tracks, they only built them so indy cars would also race on the tracks. I think atlanta and michigan put on the best show of the big tracks that is if you don't consider dalington to be a big track

We saw two lines being used yesterday. Just look at what Sam Hornish was able to do with that high line. The racing is fine.
