I must not be a good NASCAR fan, I enjoyed the racing tonight and really enjoyed last week's racing at Darlington.

It looked to me like the Hendrick cars were working on tire wear in anticipation for the 600; I think all of the Hendrick cars went with a different tire strategy for the last segment. The Gibbs cars may have been working in the area of engine strength this weekend in anticipation of the season's longest race next weekend. I could be wrong, but that's how it appeared to me.

Not much side by side for the lead... It was interesting to see which cars excelled and which cars failed between segments...

Jimmy Spencer liked it
That sounds about right.
I would love to see what Jimmy Spencer would score on an IQ test.
He probably couldn't spell IQ ... as for the race, ZZZZZZZ .... and Spencer probably couldn't spell that either!
Regardless I still think Spencer is a hoot!

I thought it was a good race. Not really exciting but I didn't think it was boring by any means.

The races are never going to be as good as they were until fans let Nascar know that we don't watch to see cars follow each other around the track. The COT has proven that they can't really pass but if you only can go fast if you are in the lead then we can just watch the first lap for the winner. DJ had some great ideas on the Dave Despain program, they all made sense - they should put him in charge.

Fans have the power to force changes!

It wasn't terrible, but considering Speed's been counting down to it since January, it didn't live up to the hype.

Are you people kidding?...That was the WORST race in the All-Star Series history! First off, it should be like any other series in racing, (Showdown is a Heat), first two advance to final. NASCAR, in their wisdom and undying love for money and sponsors gets a FAN vote. What? It's an ALL-Star Race!!! If you don't make it, you go home! You think those guys and gals that race every weekend at local short tracks get a FAN vote? NOT! It's a farse! It's a way of NASCAR making money. And after the race, where was the coverage of Jarrett and his last race EVER? I'm not a Jarrett fan but think it was disrescpectful to a great driver. Those pogues at NASCAR need to get a clue before their fans start raising cane. And what about Mark Martin who started way in the back and DW or his stooges never mentioned his trek to the front? I think the Speed coverage was flawed and are disappointed with the coverage. Remember this...COT is the same thing the people chewed in Somalia. I would rather miss any new SPRINT, (which should only be called CUP), race to go to my local short track and watch real racing. NASCAR has brought in too many sponsors and let the series get out of hand. Get back to racing and let the driver settle it on the track and in the pits! And Speed should not allow it's commentators to wear different sponsors on their shirts or jackets ( JEGS, DODGE etc). If they work for Speed, it should only be Speed...it confuses the audience. Just a thought. Steve Gaffney at Sprint only wants to support their FAN vote crap.
Thoughts?

The fans have no input on NASCAR as long as the France's have anything to do with it. If they did, there wouldn't be that stupid COT, the choke plates on the super speedways, and the cars just might resemble something you might see in a dealer showroom.

Yeah I know you are right, I just miss the real races, so I hope that the fans would have
some input. I am also VERY sick of the 18 driver (can't stand saying his name) being praised like he was God, it was obvious that who ever was in the lead could perform just as good or better than he did when he was in the lead. I also agree that DJ deserved something - but none of these people are getting anything right these days. It is getting really frustrating.
