DMG has said several times there will be rolling starts and Nascar style yellow flags instead of red flags.

DCH373, would you be kind enough to tell me what class(es) you are racing??
Can you patiently explain to me how this dumbed-down racing is going to help you in your chosen class? Less high-level competition and therefore a better chance of you winning? I seriously doubt if the factories are going to walk away from racing and will continue to have the best machinery and riders. In the meantime, I predict the fans will stay away in droves.
Do you REALLY see this DMG stupidity as a plus - a way to build amateur racing? Optimism is a fine thing, but it can only go so far.
Please give me your insider's view - I'm all ears (make that eyes)

I as an AMA privatear along with a hole list of Privatears Agrea we need a chang! It seems everyone is afrade of chang" WTF" without chang their would never be any progres! THE WORLD IS FLAT U WILL FALL OFF" I mean come on our sport needs to GROW! and if DMG is going to steep in and make some neaasary changes let then do it and see what coms from it! Who ever said roling starts that is"BS" that is not what thay are trying to do! thay are NOT going to try to turn our sport into NASCAR! Just level the playing field, witch is somthing that is long overdoo!!!
I beg to differ. Here is a link to an article on roadracing world.com that is from a DMG press conference where they specifically say and I quote "Daytona Superbike and LiterBike, like MOTO-ST, will use rolling starts and a safety car, and radios will be mandatory."
It is in the 12th block of text from the top.
http://www.roadracingworld.com/news/article/?article=32140
They also discuss the totally spec class as either Ninja 250's or the RSD 450 super singles in this article. In essence this would be their Rookies Cup class.

Here is another quote from Bill Syfan on cycleworld.com about rolling starts.
"We've talked about a lot of things—rolling starts, for example—that are new to people and, frankly, probably a bit scary. They haven't done it before, and they may be like, ‘This sounds dodgy.' Everything isn't nailed down yet. Give us some time. We have to get enough of a rules structure in place to get the spec tire out for bid. Same thing with fuel."

CHIP? What is that? our race biks ore not cars! Are you perhaps meaning ECU? Ok its like this, Drop in fork cartridges (Olhins) Rear shock, Race glass (bodywork) Bar clipons, Race exhaust, Race brake lines and pads,
and an issued non progamable ECU with the addition of a PowerComander to adjust fuel maps. That is about how it will be.
Here is what Syfan had to say in regards to the "spec" ECU on cycleworld.com.
"Stopping traction control is going to be one of our challenges. We're probably going to mandate some sort of tamperproof aftermarket electronic engine management unit that both the sanctioning body and the teams can plug into and, in turn, we can see any telltale information that might give us clues if what we saw on the track differs from what we see in post-race dyno testing."
Sounds more like a black box data recorder and not an actual ECU.
They also want to concentrate all the purse money into the DMG superbike class so how will that help the privateers in other classes?
Again a quote from Syfan on cycleworld.com
"We want the top riders in Daytona Superbike," says Syfan. "Purses that you now see will all be put into Daytona Superbike. Hopefully, that will mean more money for privately funded teams, and it won't be such a struggle for them to make it to the next event."
While they want these privately funded teams, that doesn't mean they want the privateer with a lone bike and a box van, here is a quote about that as well.
"We think Daytona Superbike is going to draw a lot of people. Again, our goal is to make the show better. We want to develop more two-rider teams fielding quality bikes. When they roll through the gate, they need to feel like they are competitive, that the only thing they have to work on is rider development. We want the speed to be in the riders not the bikes."
So how many privateers are a two rider team?????

Now I dont have a link it was in an interview and dont quote me on the word Suppersport
If we can't quote you on supersport than the whole post is meaningless. And I have news for most 'privatears' (I would think privateers could spell that) - putting ALL the works teams up against you is not going to make it easier going. If you are finishing 26th in SS, the guy in 25th isn't on a works bike.

Personally I think a rolling start is not a bad thing. Look at Scott Russell's accident at Daytona a few years back. That sort of thing would not have happened with a rolling start. Sure accidents can still happen, but not like that one.
Using a safety car is just stupid, these races are already short enough, we could have races with only 4 or 5 green flag laps, and that sucks.
As far as changing the class structure, there have always been changes. Back when my grandfather raced hillclimb (which was the premier series after board track died)they used the classes 45", 61", and 80" Which translated into 750cc, 1200cc and 1380 cc. Often my grandfather would race a beefed up 45" in all three classes, and often he would win all three classes. He raced for Indian, so of course Harley complained, as did Excelsior and a few other makers and they got the rules changed so that you could not run smaller bikes in bigger classes. That was in the 20's and people thought the sky was falling then.
Now on the surface running 600s as the premier seems stupid. But what size sells the most? I loved when they ran the 750's but then the makers stopped making them, kinda hard to race what you do not make, only Suzuki still makes a killer 750. So what was the AMA to do?
Superbike is not MotoGp so you can not run a class like 800cc. I do feel that 1000 bikes have progressed to the point where they are just too fast. They kill tires and just have some serious safety issues. So 600 is the next place to go. Personally as long as the racing is good, and not contrived it will be OK.

Who the hell is Chang and why is everyone afraid of him anyway?
Honestly, whether you are an AMA privateer or not, posts need to be a little more intelligent than this for me to take it seriously. Anyone can make a typo or misspell a word but this puppy borders on illiteracy. At a quick count I see 19 errors in a short message - that is SCARY.
The world may not be falling but test scores are...

Oh snap!!
As far as illiteracy is concerned, I take offense, both my parents were married!
