Somewhere out there, there are people that actually enjoy open wheel racing in the USA. Would not think there are too many.
The only fix is a) a merge,or b) Champ or IRL tanks, c) pick one.
Fans leaving in droves, no one in either series management seems to understand that.
Do not delude yourselves into thinking T.George is above all this, remember F-1 is gone from Indy as well.
Criticize the FOCA/FISA group all you want, the stands were EMPTY, reason : lousy promoting.
O/W is t o a s t in USA.
No problem, we cordially invite all you fans to Montreal on 08 June/08, We STILL have our F-1 Race .... Oh Canada!!!!.

There are still hardcore OW fans left in the US. Its just gererations have changed hands, and the youth enjoy NASCAR. My kids love NASCAR.

FYI, the Champ Car Panoz DP01 is almost as elite as F1. Scored better with the FIA than anything in F1 on it’s first test.

What a shock, Robin Miller was wrong!

Robin you have gone as low as you can go bro.

PS- how is that Red Eye trip to Japan working out? Today is Thursday bro. If your trying to merge a month before the season, time is of the essence.
I don’t believe there was a trip to Japan. This was a desperate attempt to smear the boys who booted you.

When Honda leaves you could always cover the X-Games

Anybody who thinks Tony George would pay Robin Miller a cent is smoking something illegal. RM has been very vocal about TG killing the month of May (now the two weaks of May typo intended) for years. Gotta love those huge crowds for “qualifying.”

a bad chess game by two ego driven a-holes.  you can’t merge 2 series less than 2 months before the series starts.  the cheap cars that owr was offered are repaired wrecks.  just ask around.  layoffs at cosworthp, at PI at panoz.  nobody asked what will happen to the formula atlantic series.  a probable 32 car grid, the best since the late 1980’s, most teams had signed on sponsors at this date.  what happens now??  with 2 new stand alone even for 2008, one being historic 3 rivers, with a racing history going back to the bill brack days of atlantic.  a complete disregard to all in the racing community, if you ask me.....!!!!  i think the kalkovin will need a bullet proof vest and some body guard after all this is over.

I for one have waited a very long time to see a merger in Champ Car racing. I sincerely hope that in the short term all of the logistics, sponsorship, marketing and politics will be addressed and dissolved. My congratulations to both parties for this monumental merger. The fans I’m confident will thank you. Larry G. Ciancio

Its a sad day for this 25 year veteran of the roar by the shores. And only to find out that the Aussie race won`t even be a points paying event. That my friends is Tony George at his best. Like a wise man once said,be carefull what you wish for my gearhead friends,I`m out
