Kasey Kahne will play in this years Celebrity Softball Challenge Thursday July 12th in Chicago. The game will be played at Silver Cross Field just North of Chicagoland Speedway in Joliet. Race fans are invited to walk the track following the Toyota Save Mart 350. The walk will begin 30 minutes after the checkered flag. The track will hide 5 �Golden Lug Nuts� for fans to find and claim a prize. Prizes include a�$4100.00 Snap On Tool set, a Samsung DLP HD TV, $500.00 shopping spree at Save Mart Supermarket, Lowe�s, or Big O Tires and VIP packets for upcoming events at Infineon Raceway.
You can enter the track from several locations including the North end of the main grandstand, beneath the turn one bridge, from the turn 7 run-off area and also from the turn 10 island. For more information, you can call 800-870-RACE.

NASCAR FOUNDATION TRACK WALK…MEET THE BEAST

Race fans attending the Bank of America 500 NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series event at Lowe’s Motor Speedway on Saturday, Oct. 13, can personally meet "The Beast of the Southeast."

Prior to the showdown between "The Beast" and the world’s best stock car drivers, fans may walk around the legendary 1.5-mile superspeedway as part of The NASCAR Foundation’s Track Walk.

Presented by Bank of America and hosted by Speedway Children’s Charities, the Track Walk starts at 10 a.m. and gives race fans the unique opportunity to walk the racing surface, experience the 24-degree banking in the turns and cross the start/finish line while also helping children.

Proceeds from the Track Walk benefit The NASCAR Foundation and the Charlotte Chapter of Speedway Children’s Charities, which supports organizations and foundations that provide medical, emotional and social services to children in need.

Track Walk participants can form teams when they register and may also set goals to raise additional money through an online fundraising campaign.

Walkers may register online at www.nascar.com/foundation or at Lowe’s Motor Speedway starting Thursday, Oct. 11. The Track Walk registration booth will be located near the Avenue of Flags in front of Smith Tower and will be open from 1 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 11, and from 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 12. Last-minute registration on the day of the event will take place near Gate 26 from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m.

Cost is $30 for adults while children under 14 walk for free with a paid adult. All participants receive an event T-shirt.

Craftsman Truck Series Driver’s autograph session

There will be an autograph session for the fans prior to the Mountain Dew 250 on Saturday, Oct. 6. The autograph session is scheduled to last from 9:45 a.m. till 10:30 a.m. at the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Mobile Display Unit, located in the display area behind the main grandstands.
Drivers currently scheduled to attend are: Brendan Gaughan, Jason White, Bryan Silas, Chad Chaffin, Josh Wise, Travis Kvapil, TJ Bell, Erik Darnell, Dennis Setzer, Terry Cook, Tim Sauter and 2006 Champion Todd Bodine.

Talladega Superspeedway officials announced today that Kerry Earnhardt, driver of the No.37 GLOCK Chevrolet in the ARCA RE/MAX Series, will host an autograph session for fans prior to the ARCA RE/MAX Series 250 on Friday, Oct. 5. The event is scheduled to last from 11:30 to 12:00 at the McCaig-Wellborn Research Library, located in the International Motorsports Hall of Fame.

Autograph lines (4) will open at 4 PM. Ford will announce which drivers will be in each line. Each line will be first come, first serve and will be limited to the first 300 people.

At approximately 6 PM, drivers will arrive. Drivers will do a Q&A session and autographs in split sessions - while one group is signing autographs, the other drivers will be participating in a Q&A session.
