Will Audi return for the full 2010 ALMS season?

They would have had more "testing" time by the time LeMan came along if they R15 had been run for the entire season. As is, they had just one ALMS race and whatever they ran in Europe.

I just find it so disappointing in general when teams decide to run only some races--especially diesels. As is, at Petit LeMans, all 4 diesels were expected to finish in front of all the gas-powered P1 cars. Yet, it was the gas cars that ran the entire season. When cars that only race a few races finish in front of championship contenders, it means that the championship is affected. I hope that the championship standings ignore such partial season contenders somehow.

With all the new cars announced, that series is going to rock in 2010!

Dodge Challenger, Camaro, Audi S4, KIA Forte Koup...

While many series are going down in car counts, this one is getting bigger and better.

Ferrari Engined Daytona Protoype

What do you all think about the Super-car Life Racing Team in the Rolex Series introducing a Ferrari engined Daytona Prototype for 2010?? They have been hinting several times in this year that they have one in development, and that it's coming along nicely. I really hope this projects takes off big time so that Ferrari's interest is peaked once again in Prototypes racing!

If it does appear in 2010, then it would mark the first year in over 10 years that we have seen a Ferrari engine in a prototype. The last one I remember was the open cockpit 333SP. That was a cool car, and sad to see it go. However! This new Ferrari Daytona Prototype should be a nice return. Even though it is not a factory backed car. Any thoughts welcome, but please tread lightly.

According to today's Florida Times Union, Brumos will only be campaigning the 59 car for Darren Law and David Donhue. Joao Barbosa and Terry Borcheller will form a new team with a technical alliance with Brumos

SPEED needs more of us to start using the new boards. As I just posted in the FFZ, the new boards are WAY better but short on traffic. We should all be posting on the same board don't you think?

Oh, and add your name to the "More Racing on Speed" group, maybe a petition will get us some more racing (one can hope eh?)
