If Formula Nippon is making use of the Swift .017 chassis and 3.4/3.6L NA Toyota and Honda V8 engines, why can&apos;t IRL do the same and just turbocharge the piss out of those engines to bring HP back up to&#45;at least&#45;800/900 HP and return the terrific moan of the lamented popoff&#45;valve to American Open Wheel Racing.&lt;br /&gt;

Hell, Penske Racing and Target Chip Ganassi have nascar links with Dodge and Chevy respectably, why not have them create a 3.5/3.6 liter, fuel&#45;injected, Turbo V8 engine based off of their nascar engines. &lt;br /&gt;

I believe a 3.5/3.6 liter, turbocharged hemi&#45;head Dodge V8 Indy car engine pushing 800&#45;900 hp (at the minimum) would be awesome to herald the rebirth of the technologically advanced Indycar racing we fans know and love.&lt;br /&gt;

      <description>Well we&apos;ve seen the improvements of Indycar Racing. Now with the introduction of Paddleshifting. Well this isn&apos;t new since Formula 1 saw the Paddleshifting at the late &apos;80s and into the &apos;90s (I believe), but pretty new to the North American Open&#45;Wheel series actually.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
This is the 2nd time I&apos;ve started another poll because I wanted some results and feedback if the paddleshifters to replace the ole&apos; gearstick. Thank you and gladly appreciated you voted and/or commented.&lt;br /&gt;

My Comments so far:&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;i&gt;So far I haven&apos;t been impressed with the paddle shifter at all since introduced in the CC and later with the merged series. It removed an element that enables the driver too easy to drive the car with little effort. One of my dislike, removing an element which measure the ability for the driver to handle the car with challenge: Keep Hands on Wheel and The other on the steering wheel and also have to change gears.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Also with paddle shifters, I kinda feel filtered out. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Here as with a gearstick, the car tends to be a huge skill to drive a car of that kind. Can I drive an obvious manual Porsche than a automatic Mercedes&#45;Benz? That was a greater level of challenge and skill over a paddleshift gearbox. I would have wonder if we as a major series are starting to &lt;b&gt;demote driver skill level&lt;/b&gt; or not?&lt;/i&gt;&lt;br /&gt;

      <description>&lt;b&gt;I&apos;ve been noticing how we maybe getting Multiple Engines for the future. But now the question about Chassis. Some people prefer staying single, some people prefered at least 2 to start off, some wanted more than 2 (multiple chassis). Vote your choice and have shed some light in it. &lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
My opinion here: my concern here is, with both multiple engines, there isn&apos;t much diversity in chassis when we decided to use single. What makes Indycar quite distinct instead of looking exactly the same car (Same Chassis) is that most cars aren&apos;t looking the same, their handling is different, the teams can work with, affordability. Indycar needs to at least leasen the requirements of the chassis so that it favors the competition, variety and cost&#45;effective. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
The series shouldn&apos;t somehow promote monopolization of Chassis (Dallara) by simply relying on concept cars. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Also The requirements we have and keep relying on the current and the only chassis on implementing the wheelbase, aerodynamics and so fourth seemed to render racing worse. Maybe it&apos;s time for the new car soon, not later.</description>

      <description>hey guys. i thought i&apos;d post some pics of the deformable structure that helped tk survive the accident at indy. keep in mind that ALL of this damage was incurred on the first hit and it happened at speed. if you look closely you can see the forward part of the bulkhead of the chassis is still mounted to the nosecone. contrary to published reports there was NO intrusion at the tub. there was however a complete break running the lenght of the tub behind the driver from the airbox to the floor.&lt;br /&gt;
