NEW: You won't be able to pick the same driver in back-to-back races. So whoever you pick this weekend you can't pick any of them for the next. This should make it less likely that everyone picks the same drivers for every race.

Keselowski isn't making any friends, especially after the little Nationwide race incident with Denny, which he isn't thrilled about.....

Love how Denny says "I'll take care of it".
Is Keselowski being too agressive? I think he may be trying a bit too hard to pay back some of these guys. These rivalries are good for Nascar, though. Wonder if this will carry over to the Cup side?

What makes Nascar: Driver Personalities, or Driving Talent?

When I think about Nascar drivers of the past, I come up with a few names, Petty, Pearson, Yarborough, Waltrip, Earnhardt, and its funny, all of them had distinct personalities, but they were all Excellent drivers. Most were top of the game. Today's driver has to be kind to sponsors, drive a car that they either do not like or cannot drive well, and race 42 other drivers who are vying for the same piece of racetrack that they are. So, how is it possible that the drivers of the past were able to balance their personalities and driving ability where todays driver isn't.
Like take Dale Jr, Mediocre driver, but loved by the fans, has a generally ho-hum personality, but will get fiery. Then there is Jimmie Johnson, he's a great driver, but there is a lot of disdain for him as a talent by the fans. We all know he's plain and vanilla, but that is his personality. Nobody held it against Petty for always smiling after winning a race, and when he did it was like by 3 lap lead. Today's racing is much closer, but still, its like today's driver is held to a much higher standard, than of the past, and isn't allowed to be themselves, it seems.

There are a lot of good drivers, some better than others in Nascar, and some fans would have you believe that some need to get out, but still, one driver gets penalized by the fans for being themselves, while another who is doing the same thing, who maybe is a bit rougher round the edges is praised. How fair is that. I am in no way endorsing or standing up for any driver, or bashing any driver, just kinda thinking out loud.

Brian France fights to keep case quiet

"NASCAR chairman Brian France is trying to keep his legal troubles secret – and Mecklenburg courts have so far granted him an extraordinary level of privacy.

France filed a civil complaint against his ex-wife. Lawyers persuaded Mecklenburg Judge Todd Owens to seal the court file from public inspection, an unusual move in a court system that typically allows widespread access to courtrooms and documents.

On Friday, France's attorneys petitioned a Mecklenburg judge to bar the public from the courtroom as arguments in the case unfold. It's unclear exactly what the dispute involves, but the matter is being heard in family court and apparently involves domestic issues."

This is how John Edwards got so much traction a few years ago with his "two Americas" speech (a bit hypocritical on his part, since he was part of that "other" America, but that's another forum ). Good luck to anyone else trying to get all the details of a civil suit like this sealed.

"It's not unusual for judges to seal some documents, such as sensitive records involving mental health and financial holdings. But court experts say it's extremely rare that an entire file, including a judge's order sealing it, is kept from the public."
