Is anyone looking forward to this as much as I'am? I've been wearing out F1 CE and need a new game F1 game. I just hope Code Masters don't make this an arcade game.

I play this game from time to time, but have noticed a problem. If it starts to rain and am not due for a pit stop, I can't get new tires. If I do duck into the pits, the car drives right by the garage area. I have tried hitting the pit request button, but no response. How do you get into the pits off-sequence for non-slick tires?

The 2008 season has been top notch racing so far with 4 races left for the season. Sometime in December the 2009 season starts so its a great way to get ready.

We race Sunday afternoons with a 30 minute practice, 30 minute qualifying and 45 minute race.

We run the 2006 Champ Car Mod a little easier to drive and tune then most of the F1 mods, but still plenty fast and challenging.

Sunday EST
Practice 3:00
Qualify 3:30
Race 4:00 - 4:45PM

Road America - Nov 9
TT Assan - Nov 16
Surfers Paradise Nov 23
Rodrigus - Nov 30

See Sim Car Website

This is a fun group of clean drivers from the US and Europe.

If you're not familiar with rFactor, the cars and tracks are free downloads. They use a standard simulation format but kept the file structure open so anyone could develop very realistic cars and tracks, and the racing community has responded. It makes the X-Box and PS3 games look like, well, games.

If you like open wheel racing but can't quite afford the time and money campaign an Indy Car, you'll really enjoy the Sim Car series on rFactor.
What do the rest have to do to get there?
My vote N2k3 has been and still is. nobody has come close yet and i dont see anything on the horizon to compare.

Our league is officially an F1 league, but during the off season, and mid week, during the season, we have pickup races, open to anyone. We've raced open wheel stuff and sports cars and all sorts of other stuff.

I am getting ready to start the off season races, but it's hard to tell what is popular, from viewing the lobby, in rFactor. There doesn't seem to be a clear popularity winner.

I'd appreciate any suggestions. At this point, of the stuff I've tested this week, I like the IndyCar 1995 mod ( CART ). The NAGT sports car mod seemed fun, but I don't see many servers hosting it.

Any suggestions welcome. ( I don't know how well a Nascar mod would go with use being an F1 league at heart. )

Please PM< me

Came across this video link, it has a series of exhaust clips spliced together into one continous stream of exhaust sounds of the new Maserati GranTurismo S.

One of the better sounding exhausts I've heard in a while. Likes to crackle and snap on occassion. Turn up the volume!!
Getting a bit tired of the rigid date & times of league racing, enjoying more just pickup racing when it fits in. By far my FAV is rfactor's Megane racing #######################.
########################, there's often 25 to 35 entries for these 15 min prac/Qual & 15 min races. Decent mod, decent tracks, NON stop action! Downside is always some unruly crashers, they are a nuisance, oh well...

How about other places?*
(Not promoting a league here, just to share the many places for us sim junkies to get a quick fix..)

I've owned Nascar SimRacing for a couple of months now, and I really think it's a great game. But there are 2 things about it that are causing me problems.

1. If the field pits under yellow and I stay out to gain track position, I get black flagged for passing under the yellow.

2. Under a caution very often the field will star spread out, instead of bunching up together in a line.

Does anyone know what can be done to rectify these problems, thanks in advance.
