SPEEDtv.com: Tell us about your Falken Ford Mustang--it looks like a wild animal fighting to keep from being captured when you're driving it--what kind of developments and changes have been incorporated in the car throughout the year?
Gittin Jr.: "The Team Falken Mustang has been reincarnated to a whole different machine this year thanks to the crew at Street Wise in California-they're known for their big time professional road racing cars, and they've brought a whole new level of doing things to my Mustang. The car has 620 RWHP and is powered by 4.6 liters of American Muscle and a Paxton Novi 2000 supercharger that breathes huge amounts of air through a K&N air filter all which are responsible for keeping those Falken Azenis RT615 tires smoking. (Nice sponsor plug, JR… ~Ed.) The car has gone through some extensive development and testing during the off season--I'm not willing go into to much detail as I can't let my competitors know our secrets. However I will say I can't believe what I was able to make look good the last couple years after driving this years revamped machine. I really need to thank Falken Tire

SPEEDtv.com: What's next for JR? More Drifting, Time Attacks...any other surprises or places we can expect to see you this year?
Gittin Jr.: "I have a crazy schedule this year but with what spare time I have I am looking forward to get a chance to try off road trucks, more road course events, rally, and really anything I can behind the wheel of. I am also hopeful to go drift in Japan and Ireland this year so stay tuned!"
SPEEDtv.com: Thanks again for spending some time with SPEEDtv.com, JR.
Gittin Jr.: "Thanks Marshall. I just want to take a second to thank the men and women in our armed forces for risking everything to enable a guy like me to continue living a dream here in the amazing U.S.A. Keep rocking SPEEDTV!"
