The ARCA RE/MAX Series did not compete this past weekend but many ARCA RE/MAX Series officials spent the weekend at Toledo Speedway for the 20th Anniversary of the Miller Lite Glass City 200. 2008 Toledo Speedway Allegiant Air Late Model Champion Harold Fair, Jr. won the Late Model invitational, which has been a stable at the ARCA-owned short track since 1968.
Several drivers with ARCA RE/MAX Series experience competed in the event, including third-place finisher Jake Francis, who started on the outside pole and led the first 63 laps of the event, ninth-place finisher Gary Sherman and 26th-place finisher Brian Keselowski.

In addition to Townley’s appearance in the NASCAR Nationwide Series this past weekend, several drivers entered for the Loud Energy Drink 150 at New Jersey Motorsports Park competed in Saturday’s NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race in Las Vegas, including Brian Scott (finished 14th), Scott Speed (finished 21st) and Norm Benning (finished 30th).
Young Field of Full Time Series Competitors in 2008
SunTrust Rookie of the Year contenders have excelled during the 2008 ARCA RE/MAX Series, occupying six of the top-10 point positions. Frank Kimmel, at 46 years old, is the only driver in the top-15 in the ARCA RE/MAX Series point standings over the age of 30.
There are just four drivers currently in the top-15 in the point standings old enough to rent a car (Scott Speed, Matt Carter, Kimmel, Ken Butler, III).
