Following McLaren's revelation that it had suspended one of its employees for being involved in the case of alleged sabotage against Ferrari, the Scuderia has confirmed that a staff member of the silver squad is part of its legal process against its own former engineer, Nigel Stepney.
In a statement issued this evening, the scarlet team said: "Ferrari announces it has recently presented a case against Nigel Stepney and an engineer from the Vodafone McLaren-Mercedes team with the Modena Tribunal, concerning the theft of technical information.

Although neither team confirmed the identity of the McLaren employee involved, autosport.com reports that Mike Coughlan, McLaren's current chief designer, is the person mentioned. According to autosport.com, Coughlan's house has already been searched by British authorities, and incriminating material has been found, which led to today's announcement of Coughlan's suspension.
