While his Renault team prepares for its day in court at the World Motorsport Council to answer spying charges (CLICK HERE FOR STORY), its driving lineup remains in flux amid the will-he, won't-he speculation surrounding the potential return of Fernando Alonso. Giancarlo Fisichella is considering other options in case Renault signs the two-time World Champion, the Italian's manager says.

"The situation will untangle when Renault make a decision," Enrico Zanarini told Italy's Corriere dello Sport newspaper. "It's a matter of choices. When Renault decide, we'll know a bit more. In any case, once rumors of a possible return by Alonso began, we started looking
"Preferences? None. There have been discussions from our part with the teams that have a free seat, but there are no ongoing deal talks. In any case we await a decision by Renault," he added.
Alonso was given his unconditional release by McLaren last week, and Renault team boss Flavio Briatore immediately revealed his team had made an offer to the Spaniard. Renault also has Heikki Kovalainen under contract for next season.
