Giancarlo Fisichella admits his early spin at Indy cost him another priceless helping of points.
The Italian started on a one-stop strategy and could have finished at least sixth had he not messed up. It was the second disappointment in a week, because in Montreal the Italian lost a possible third place finish when he ran the pit lane red light behind Felipe Massa, earning himself an exclusion.
Meanwhile through the two races his teammate Heikki Kovalainen has established himself in a much stronger position with a fourth and fifth place.
"I'm really sorry about today's result," said Fisichella at Indy. "I lost the car going into Turn 4 on the second lap and compromised my whole race there. The pace was there today and the possibility to finish in the points was very good, so I'm sorry for myself and most of all for the team.
