Raikkonen insists he won't change his ways at the new job... (Ferrari photo) ยป More Photos

Ferrari's annual skiing trip to the Italian Alps has served as the first official public appearance of new signing Kimi Raikkonen as a Scuderia driver.

While seeing the "Ice Man" in fiery red might take some getting used to, the man himself insisted he was at ease with his new surroundings, and vowed to retain his sometimes controversial ways (which include off-track behavior usually opposed to his on-track coolness) at the new job.

"I'm not going to change my way, it works well enough," Raikkonen said in a press conference at the ski resort.

"Even if I
had changed my style it would not have changed the results at McLaren. The problem was not what I did with my training or in my private life, it was more to do with the car not lasting the race or not being quick enough.

"I'm not Michael Schumacher and [Ferrari] doesn't expect me to be," he added, referring to the seven-time world champion whose shoes he must fill. "I work in a different way. We just need to find the best way to work together and I don't see a problem with that.

"So far it has been nice and easy and much easier to work with this team than any other in Formula 1 for me."
