Champ Car World Series teams are keeping busy during the break between the Houston and Portland races. After testing at Portland International Raceway at the beginning of the month, teams are continuing their preparation for the upcoming string of summer races, including the inaugural Grand Prix of Mont-Tremblant, with a two-day test this week at the historic Circuit Mont-Tremblant, May 24 – 25.
Champ Car's return to the Circuit has been a much anticipated one, as it has been 39 years since the open-wheel cars last took to the track located in the heart of the picturesque Laurentians. The layout, which features fast sections and passing opportunities, has since then been renovated to meet with improved safety guidelines. The 15-turn natural road course will still provide the seven teams and 12 drivers taking part in the private test with quite a challenge.

Also attending the test and fresh off a four day, four city Champ Car European Media Tour that took place last week, are Robert Doornbos and Dan Clarke of Minardi Team USA. Three time defending Champ Car champion Sebastien Bourdais and Champ Car's youngest podium finisher, Graham Rahal of Newman/Haas/Lanigan Racing are also part of the drivers taking advantage of this test at the 2.65-mile permanent road course.
Completing the line-up for the private test session will be Pacific Coast Motorsports drivers Alex Figge and Ryan Dalziel, PKV Racing's Tristan Gommendy and Team Australia's Will Power and rookie Simon Pagenaud.
Portland International Raceway will host Round 4 of the Champ Car World Series June 8 – 10 with the Mazda Champ Car Grand Prix of Portland Presented by Joe's.
