ALMS Video: Behind the Scenes with Peter Dumbreck, Ferrari F430 GT2

He's flipped into the trees at Le Mans. He's driven a factory-supported Opel (yes, they still make Opel's). He's built a legion of international fans that love his special brand of sarcasm and wit. He's also grown a fan base amongst his peers as one of the most candid and honest professional sportscar drivers in the world.

Where most top drivers focus heavily on promoting themselves through high self-regard and beliefs that they are incapable of fear or self doubt, Dumbreck doesn't mind letting down his guard; it's his willingness to admit to fears or concerns that add to his reputation as an honest, regular, but fast bloke.

With a hand-held video camera to document the Mosport and Detroit
American Le Mans rounds, Dumbreck and his co-driver Dirk Muller captured the ups-and-downs of their fortunes in the Petersen/White Lightning Ferrari F430 GT2 racer for SPEEDtv.com.

The frenetic pace and lifestyle of Peter and Dirk are obvious in their footage; the stop/start presentation of the clips they shot is a testament to the always-moving nature of their existence.

Enjoy this 10 minute web exclusive, and be sure to watch all the way through the end. Dumbreck's sense of Scottish humor might need some work...
