PINKS All Out will visit the ZMAX dragway on April 24th and 25th and you have one more chance to make the field with the "Valvoline Coveted Spot") ยป More Photos
Racers line up by the thousands to enter one of 10 PINKS All Out television shoots each season. But with only 450 slots available per event, the chances of grabbing a slot in the show are often smaller than 10 percent. That’s where Valvoline steps in.
Valvoline, in association with SPEED™ and its popular drag racing lifestyle program, PINKS All Out, have put together a new program called ‘The Valvoline Coveted Spot.’ Once pre-event sign up is complete, and the dust settles after each host track’s qualifying races, ‘The Valvoline Coveted Spot’ will be the last opportunity to obtain one of the hottest and most competitive tickets in town.
“The Valvoline brand has always enjoyed a strong relationship with local racers around the country,” said Rob Clendening, Valvoline brand manager. “PINKS All Out is a great fit for our brand, and the Coveted Spot promotion is a natural way to add to the excitement and help some passionate racers get to the starting line.”
For racers interested in signing up for a chance to win ‘The Valvoline Coveted Spot,’ please log onto SPEEDtv.com and type keyword search ‘Valvoline.’ There you will be asked to enter into a random drawing which will take place two weeks prior to an upcoming PINKS All Out live production. There is no purchase necessary to enter, and you must be 18 years of age to enter. For full details of the contest, please log onto www.SPEEDtv.com.
Each PINKS All Out event is hosted by creator and executive producer Rich Christensen. The show is one of SPEED’s most popular lifestyle series, where grassroots drag racers drive their cars to the limit for an opportunity to win $10,000, a new NAPA tool chest and their shot to compete in front of a national cable television audience. If a racer is deemed by the technical crew to have ‘sandbagged,’ or has tried to guess the elapsed time chosen for the final 32-car run-off by modulating their acceleration during the pass, they are eliminated from the show.
“We are fortunate to find ourselves in a situation where demand for driver entries far outstrips the available supply,” said Robert Ecker, SPEED VP of Programming & PINKS All Out Executive Producer. “Despite increasing the size of the field and introducing new qualifying sessions that allow more people than ever before to participate in the event, we remain unable to accommodate the growing demand for slots. ‘The Valvoline Coveted Spot’ provides that final golden ticket
for one lucky person.”
