NASCAR Champion driver Mike Skinner announced today new ticket prices for the 3RD ANNUAL TOYOTA SKINNER ROUND UP "Hoe Down" concert on Thursday, March 12, at the Fan Zone at Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Fla.
Tickets will be $10 per person with children under 12 admitted free. Admittance includes a live concert by award-winning jazz/blues entertainer Stacy Mitchhart along with a live celebrity auction and "A Taste of Daytona," a food extravaganza presented by area restaurants. Tickets are currently on sale for $10 at all Sunshine State Bank locations and will be available at Gate 40 (Williamson Blvd entrance) to Daytona International Speedway.
"We feel, in these economic times, that in order to give back to the needs of the community, that the fans need a break too. This is a win-win opportunity to bring your family and enjoy a great concert by Stacy Mitchhart, a celebrity auction and food in the famed infield at this price," says Skinner. He added that the evening kicks off at 6:00pm with photo opportunities in Gatorade Victory Lane beside the Exide #5 Toyota Tundra .
Among the celebrities to help raise funds to benefit Volusia County charities include jazz & blues superstar Stacy Mitchhart, NFL star Randy Moss, NFL Hall of Fame quarterback Jim Kelly, award-winning singer/songwriter Edwin McCain, daredevil Robby Knievel, Betty Jane France, and NASCAR drivers A. J. Allmendinger, Boris Said, Rick Crawford, Ron Hornaday and Steve Park. Over the last two years, celebrities and the community have joined Mike in raising more than $250,000 for area charities.
The following day, Friday, March 13th, celebrities and sponsors will play a round of golf at Spruce Creek Country Club.
Following the golf tournament, the public is invited to participate in the "Skinner Round Up" Celebrity Poker Tournament beginning at 3:00pm at Spruce Creek Country Club.
Entrance fee is $100 per player, and the grand prize is round trip airfare for two to Las Vegas and a three-night stay at South Point Casino.
"Angie and I invite everyone to be a part of this year's Round Up," says Skinner. "Along with the help from sponsors, celebrities, volunteers and of course the public, it is not only a great time for all, but a way to truly make a difference in our community." He added that this year's charities will be the Council on Aging, Greyhound Pets of America, Halifax Health Foundation, Second Harvest Food Bank and Concerned Citizens for Animal Welfare.
