Audi has been the force in sportscar racing since the turn of the century, but since the return of Peugeot that dominance has been threatened. The two cars have gone head to head five times and the score is 3-2 in the French manufacturers favour. But that doesn’t say it all
the Audi is slower in a straight line and in the turns. Something that has prompted speculation about an all new chassis being unveiled at Le Mans, the new design, though to be a coupe may well be dubbed the R15. However this is pure speculation. One thing that is fact is that Audi has been working hard to improve the R10’s aero package for Le Mans.
