The NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race
is being held for the 27th time in 2011. The annual non-points event, set for Saturday, May 21, brings together NASCAR's
best under the lights at the 1.5-mile Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord, N.C.,
as a prelude to the following week's Coca-Cola 600 on Memorial Day weekend.
SPEED will televise the NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race live, beginning at 7 p.m. on May 21. SPEED and SPEED.com will also offer in-depth original programming and online coverage in the weeks leading up to the event.
The NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race includes race-winning drivers and car owners from the 2010 and 2011 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series seasons, NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champions from the past 10 years (2001-2010) who are active drivers and have competed in at least one series event during the 2010 or 2011 season, and past winners of the NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race.
Additionally, two drivers can qualify for the premier event by finishing first and second, respectively, after two 20-lap segments in the Sprint Showdown. Finally, one driver joins the NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race field by winning the NASCAR Sprint Fan Vote.

Sprint Fan Vote driver,
whose car is still in raceable condition as determined by the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Director, will
transfer to the NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race

Then they must pit for a four-tire stop
